Why Alyssa?
Not only is she in the business herself, (as performing is her first love), but she is also an eager learner, and believes that learning never stops, no matter how experienced you are. She is constantly watching shows, reading new works, listening to podcasts, reading articles, taking part in workshops and masterclasses, and having discussions with creatives to stay up to date on what is going on in the theatre industry. Alyssa was raised in a musical family, and became involved in theatre at the age of 11. She then went on to receive her Bachelor's of Music (Musical Theatre) degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She has ten years of professional experience in various performing outlets, which include cruise ships, national tours, major theme parks, children's theatre, regional theatre, and LORT Equity houses. Her experience performing in these various outlets and mediums has provided her a wealth of information on how to best approach auditions - because no two are alike. Alyssa has a deep passion for helping other actors reach their fullest potential in the audition room, and gives them the tools they need to walk out of the room feeling like they left it all on the stage.
