Post-Pandemic Auditioning

Those of you who are EMC or Non-Equity: Listen Up!

The way EPAS and ECCS are running now are quite different than in the past, and I am here to give you the quick rundown:

If you are a non-equity or EMC actor looking to attend an EPA or ECC in NY or other regional markets:

- Read the audition breakdown thoroughly. Some are listing what to do if you are non-union. Some have nothing listed at all. (If there is an e-mail listed, I would reach out to see if they will be accepting walk-ins or appointments for non-union actors.)

- Be prepared to wait in line. Unofficial lists seem to be on their way out, but some EPAS and ECCS are still seeing non-union and EMC actors on a first come, first serve basis. That being said, be prepared to wait your turn, as they have to see any Equity walk-ups first.

- Plan your time out accordingly. Auditions seem to be back in full swing, and there are many auditions to pick and choose from. Many are held on the same day in the same building. Keep a list of all the auditions that week, and while waiting in line for one, why not go audition or put your name down for another?

Keep track of all audition news by visiting https://www.actorsequity.org/ or calling your local Equity office!

Happy audition season, and remember, take some time for yourself in this busy season!
